[ Dorian continues to talk to Bull as he leaves his room and moves to the cargo bay to get a shuttle to the Heron. ]

From what I understand, it's random. There are no warning signs or ways to tell what will happen.

[He scoffs at that.] All just part of the entertainment, huh?

[He chuckles and while it's deep in his chest, it's not as deal as it normally is.]

Shit, I gotta remember to be boring more often.

[ The laugh is definitely Bull, but it's not quite right. It doesn't reverberate like it usually does. As Dorian gets to the Heron, he hangs up and simply shows up in Bull's room not long after.

He's struck speechless by Bull's new appearance. Maker, he makes for a very attractive human. ]

[Bull's still Bull, terrified as he is about...all this, and he can tell what that "oh" means. He smirks as he turns. He's naked, because that's his option, really and he hasn't bothered to find one of those jumpsuits and belt it or anything.]

I know right? It could be worse, right?

[He hadn't suddenly grown a left eye or anything, but Dorian had never flinched at the sight of his face, and he didn't expect he'd started now. Even still, his voice wavered a bit as he tried to flirt. It was nice, but this was...it was shit.]

[ Living with Dorian again is marvellous and Leilani doesn't waste time; as soon as Justice's broadcast is live and she's visited she makes her way back to the ship. It's later than she'd like, but it doesn't stop her from slipping into his room (not before checking the handle) and making her way inside. ]

Dorian?

[ Nothing illicit is going on, Dorian is merely sitting in bed sans makeup, seeing to it that his hands are perfectly manicured. Of course he's not asleep- it's much too early, but late enough that a trip to the bar seems silly. Dorian looks up from his task as she enters, a warm smile on his face. ]

To what do I owe the pleasure of your radiance tonight?

[ Watching him for a moment, Leilani feels a soft smile tug at her face. It's always comforting to see him like this, to know that despite the world being different, despite their histories being different, they can be together like this. It's more than enough for her, especially when she cares for him so much.

Walking over, she settles and sits on the bed, taking his hand so she can do the job for him. ]

Radiance? You don't have to flatter me.

[ He lets her continue, of course, relaxing against the headboard. It feels like ages since they've been together like this, though it really hasn't been that long. Things have been rather busy as of late, so they only need to make up for lost time. ]

I don't feel the need to inflate your ego, there's nothing I want from you.

[ Which.. sounds a bit rude, but he has no need to butter her up, because he has everything he could ever want from Leilani and couldn't ask for more. He nudges her with a naked foot. ]

[ It's not necessarily like Leilani has been avoiding him. She's been hiding because she's been sad, and her sadness hasn't been getting much better. Running into Justice who doesn't have any idea who she is... It's not what she had hoped for their reunion. ]

Other than my friendship and dashing good looks to balance your own.

[ She nudges him gently, moving onto the next finger. ]

Precisely so.

[ He cares about her well-being so much, but he's been rather negligent lately, not asking after her. Dorian has been absorbed in his own... whatever it is he has. He'd heard Justice's broadcast, and there had been an unusual number of people who have seemed to have forgotten themselves lately- it doesn't bode well for what is to come, and he can't imagine what this must be doing to Leilani. ]

Even now, it feels as though balance has been restored.

[ It's not as if she can blame Dorian. Given the fact that she's heard a little from Bull and a little from Cyril she can only begin to imagine the complicated situation emerging. It's as messy and unsure as her own love life, but at least they all know each other. Just thinking about seeing Justice, face blank and visage so different from the man she had fallen in love with...

She's trying not to think about it, entirely focussed on Dorian and his hands and the softness of his palm. ]

Maybe we should organise a best friend dinner night. Just us and a bottle of wine and some good food.

Maker's arse, that sounds wonderful. It's been entirely too long and it's much overdue.

[ He hums in thought, patting the side of his bed. ]

If I'm not mistaken, there is still half a bottle of some sort of red under the bed.

Pick a day and I'll be all yours, Dorian.

[ Not even Justice could pull her away, but he doesn't seem in a fit state for it now anyway. ]

Do you have glasses or will we share?

I have glasses in the closet- I'm no uncultured swine.. though I don't mind sharing so long as it's you. I know you won't take it all for yourself.

How about tomorrow evening? I don't believe I've anything planned.

I think I can survive an indirect kiss.

[ Her eyes flick up, grinning at him for a moment. ]

Tomorrow sounds perfect.

Perfect. I'm certain we can manage to pull something decent together for lunch. Until then, we'll find something to bide the time with.

It depends what we're in the mood for. [ She finally moves closer, wiggling to get into his space. ] I've missed you.

I've sorely missed you, as well. [ Dorian even leans on her when she gets into his space. ]

We're terrible neighbours. [ Laughing, she shifts and settles into him properly, resting her head on his shoulder. ]

[ Which he doubts very much, considering their positions. ]
