[ And if Bull's timed this right, and he was paying proper attention, then when he meets Dorian in the cargo bay of the Blue Fish in that suit he'd had made, that it was the right time of evening for it down below. ]

She was certainly that. I enjoyed her candor more than I anticipated. I'll admit, it was one of the more entertaining reads as of late.

[ Bull probably already knows the academic nature of his attention lately. ]

[ Bull has indeed timed everything correctly, because of course his attention to detail is impeccable. Dorian meets him there wearing a complementary suit in a different hue than Bull's. Of course he's gone the extra mile, ensuring that not a hair is out of place, his eyes are perfectly lined with kohl, and a simple cuff adorns his ear. ]

I didn't expect to see you in that suit again so soon.

Yeah? [ He laughs. He can't say he's used to dressing up, but he's capable of it. He guesses that was partially the point in doing this in the first place. Violet told him to do what felt right, and well, he wanted to impress the guy, show him he wasn't just the lummox he came off as. ]

Well, I sort of needed a reason to wear it somewhere, right? [ He doesn't try to hide looking Dorian over, either. ]

[ Though back then, he had to limit himself to a few sets of robes and little else. Now, he's free to indulge, and it's getting a bit out of hand at this point, though he's not sorry. Modern fashions are just so malleable! Dorian sighs wistfully, wrapping his hands around one of Bull's perfectly-tailored arms. ]

Maker, I suppose I will find some way to manage. [ Yes. It's absolutely difficult in this exact moment. He is such a tortured soul. ]

[ The Bull chuckles at that, shaking his head. ]

Sure, and a year to make up for it, right?

[ Bull had no qualms with believing he was sexy, too many people lusted after him, but he also didn't have any pretenses about being the pretty one, or even pretty in the first place. ]

[ His laugh is airy, but genuine in nature. They can tease him all they'd like about his wardrobe, because at the end of the day, he knows he looks good and he's got impeccable taste. Dorian can't help that his grasp strays, fingers gliding over the silky fabric encompassing Bull's bicep.

The impulsive part of him wants to say fuck the theater and save it for Bull, instead. However, Bull went through all this trouble, and Dorian is more touched at the gesture than he's letting on.

Someone is taking him to the theater. In public. In complementary suits. How could he ever think of passing that up? ]

You look very dashing, Bull, I must say. You clean up rather nicely. Ah, your eye patch even matches.

[ Dorian's expression flicks briefly to one of surprise. Disbelief, even. Dinner out with friends was one thing, but being seen in public with another man, clearly on a date? No one has ever.. He covers the disbelief with a suave and carefree smile. ]
